So I
have a
choice
of 3
different
digital
print
services.
How do I
decide
which
service
is right
for me?
 |
The
Frontier
Prints
Discount
output
service
is for
Photographers
who are
sophisticated
enough
to
effect
color
management
themselves.
These
photographers
own a
monitor
spyder
and
calibrate
their
monitors
at least
once a
month.
This
service
is also
good for
individuals
with
prepped
head
shots
and need
large
quantities
of
prints.
For
those of
you
with a
large
quantity
of
digital
files
and just
want a
hard
copy,
this is
your
least
expensive
choice.
 |
The
Economy
Print
Service
is
for our
clients
who have
minimal
color
management
skills.
These
clients
have
color
balanced
their
files
using a
calibrated
home
computer
system
and
just
need
their
output
monitored
for
density
or might
need
minor
global
color
tweaks.
This
service
only
offers
global
color
and
density
corrections.
 |
The
Color
Managed
Print
Service
is
our all
inclusive
print
service.
This
service
includes
all of
the
following:
All
files
are
optimized
in
Photoshop
for
Color,
Contrast,
and
Saturation
for the best quality print that can be achieved from your digital file.
Extremely
light retouch like removing a
blemish, red eye reduction or even
adding a line or 2 of text is included in this service. Conversion from
Color to B&W or Sepia tone is also included.
Retouch
and
cropping requests
should be made when you are placing your order.

Below is
an
example
of the
improvements
that the
color
managed
print
service
can
make to
your
files.
The file
I used
for this
example
was shot
my Nikon
point
and
shoot
using
its
built in
flash. I
felt it
would
make a
good
example
of
how some
simple
adjustments
using
photoshop
can
drastically
improve
your
files
and your
ouput.
